GOLDEN PEARL PRINTERS, INC. (GPPI), just like most businesses has its own humble beginnings. The enterprising proprietress, Gemma R. Lastrella, started the simple business of looking for offices offering printing services and products such as ORs, DRs, Invoices, POs, Letterheads, Promo items, Calendars, Invitations, Calling Cards, Memo Pads and the like. Gemma started without any machine. Gemma gets customers and canvasses the cheaper printer. This type of middleman is commonly called "Jobber" in the printing business. She takes a jeepney ride to deliver the orders. A jeepney ride is always the cheapest available means to reach customers. She wakes up early in the morning and prepares herself to look for potential customers, calling all known friends and acquaintances asking for referrals. Callings cards has always proved to be a good medium to finding customers.
Included in the services of a Jobber are the following:
1. Sending BIR Authority to Print
2. Business registration for beginners
3. Delivery of quotations from the printer
4. Delivery of Job Orders

After earning a comfortable number of customers, she realizes the need to own at least a Minerva machine, a letterpress machine. As days pass by, more customers are requesting for quotations, more and bigger orders are in the pile of jobs. So there comes the need for new machines to accommodate customers and cut farmed out cost. After about two years from the time Gemma started operating her own printing shop, she acquired more machines to augment the current capacity and address the growing demands of her customers.

2004 was another milestone for the business as it marked the incorporation of Golden Pearl Printers Inc. Gemma sees potential for bigger market and engages in a more diverse printing services. Perseverance, determination to sustain a living and a lot of hard work is the inseparable instrument in what she gained through the years.

GPPI has the ambition to make a one stop printing haven offering not just printing services but also other allied products and services.
